Cannot change Tunespan location to backup of crashed HD

I had a hard drive go bad -- the one where all of my spanned files were located. Fortunately, I had a backup. I successfully restored my "Tunespan iTunes" folder to a new drive.

I cannot get TuneSpan to work with the new drive's "TuneSpan iTunes" folder.

I followed your directions here (https://randomapplications.useresponse.com/topic/moved-spanned-media-directory-to-a-new-drive). The new location shows correctly.

But when I follow your directions that say "Then, just click Span and TuneSpan should find all the files in the new location and just quickly update the locations in iTunes TuneSpan gives me a message that there is not enough drive space on the new drive.", TuneSpan tells me there isn't enough room on the new drive (there's 60GB in addition to all of the previously spanned media files). iTunes cannot find the files to play. And TuneSpan cannot find the files.

What to do? Nothing I've done seems to work. Very frustrating, and I feel like I'm missing something despite thinking I'm following your directions exactly.

Thank you!

Sorry, the quotation marks are misplaced in my posting. Your directions said only "Then, just click Span and TuneSpan should find all the files in the new location and just quickly update the locations in iTunes".

Thanks for getting in touch. I'm glad you found those instructions, but I'm sorry you're having issues with them.

Would you mind sending me a screenshot of the error you're getting from TuneSpan?

Also, what file are trying to span? Since it doesn't appear you have all the missing tracks selected to span, are they just two random ones that are missing?
