How do I set NAS ( by IP) as span location ? I want to move my whole iTunes library to the NAS

I hav an Imac running 10.8.2 and a new NAS drive. I need to move the library completely to the nas. I don't see how to move the span location to the NAS all I see is moving it to folders

I'm sorry, you cannot set an IP address location to span to. To span to a NAS, you must first mount the volume in the Finder and drag the mounted folder location into TuneSpan.


I'm sorry if that is some added trouble. Is there some reason you cannot mount the NAS in the Finder first?

I didn't know how to access it besides I'm a network engineer I just thought of IP first. I did find out how and am on my way now thanks

Great! Glad you've got it working.


Anytime you want to connect to a server on your Mac, even if you can't see it in the Network listings, "Connect to Server" (command+k) in Finder's Go menu is your friend.
