Unable to move music from one external drive to another
Need Answer
I just purchased a second external hard drive to store my iTunes media files, and when I try to move my music from one external drive to another, I get the messages "Don't Have Access to Necessary Locations to Perform the Span. Please Make Sure All Locations are Readable and Writable & Try Again."
Went to TuneSpan--File Access--Allow Access to New Locations and made sure that TuneSpan had access to Both Hard Drives, the iTunes subfolder and Macintosh HD. But still unable to move (span). What am I doing wrong? Thanks
What do the permissions look like in Finder for your Span Location?
If you're attempting to span to the root level of your new external drive, I'd recommend making a folder on your new external drive (called "Spanned Media" or something. That may solve it regardless of the permissions of the root of the drive.

How can I find which folders have the permissions issue?
