Spanning refusal
Answered
I could not span two tracks, getting the following error read: "Location could not be updated in iTunes". How to proceed? The two tracks are HD versions of movies bought in the Store, the SD versions I have removed from my iTunes library b4 spanning. Otherwise a great app, saved me a lot of disc space on my laptop
Thanks for getting in touch. I'm so sorry you've run into an issue.
This is most likely cause by a bug in iTunes. For some reason some video files with non-English characters in their metadata refuse to have their location updated.
Sometimes you can solve the issue be replacing or removing all the non-English characters in the metadata. Sometimes it also helps to remove the references from iTunes and re-add them back to iTunes from the files.
But, those aren't sure fixes, sometimes the issue persists. Sadly, I haven't been able to figure out a real fix for this issue.
Please let me know what you find.
