LOading hangs at "Preparing Interface" stage on iTunes 12.8 / High Sierra
Solved
Software started hanging after switching to High Sierra. It was working fine until a few days ago (under High Sierra), then started hanging. I can only get out with a forced quit.
Help!
Bob
Thanks for getting in touch. First off, have you updated to the latest 1.4 version which I just released a few days ago?

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I have version 1.4.

I'm so sorry for this issue.
I just got a report of the same thing from another user. Oddly, I never ran into this in my testing.
Would you mind emailing me a copy of your iTunes Library XML to see if I can replicate the issue on my end?
Also, what are the specs of your Mac?

I left the program running for a bit, and I can now see the normal screen with what appears to be my latest editing incorporated. The "spinning ball" will not go away, however, and prevents me from doing any actions.
Here's my Mac info:
Model Name:Mac mini
Model Identifier:Macmini6,2
Processor Name:Intel Core i7
Processor Speed:2.3 GHz
Number of Processors:1
Total Number of Cores:4
L2 Cache (per Core):256 KB
L3 Cache:6 MB
Memory:16 GB
Boot ROM Version:MM61.010E.B00
SMC Version (system):2.8f0
Software:
System Version:macOS 10.13.6 (17G65) Kernel Version:Darwin 17.7.0
I will try to send the Library XML separately.

With the help of Robert and another awesome user I was able to find the cause of this hanging and release an update to fix it.
You can get TuneSpan 1.4.1 on the Mac App Store now which fixes this possible hang issue.
For those curious, this had to do with an inefficiency in the Media Locations list that would get triggered only when a user had a folder with tons of contents expanded, or tons of folders expanded.
