iTunes crashes when spanned file deleted

I have spanned all my movies in iTunes. Now when I try to delete a movie from iTunes, iTunes crashes. I am able to delete files that have not been spanned. It seems that this may be a bug with TuneSpan. I am using the latest version of the OS and TuneSpan.

Thanks for getting in touch. I'm sorry you've run into an issue.

I just did a quick test on my end and deleted some spanned movies. iTunes didn't crash for me and everything seemed normal.

I'm using iTunes 12.6.0.100 and macOS 10.12.3

Would you mind restarting your computer to see if the same thing happens to rule out a fluke?

Are you 100% sure that iTunes crash is definitely as a result of Tunespan?

There are threads on Apple Communities with reports of iTunes crashes when in the Movie category, but stable when in other media types.

For me, (and others) iTunes consistently crashes when access 'Movies' - Movies have never been Tunespan'd or moved from anywhere other than the downloaded location.

Maybe the info' helps.
