Integrate spanned tracks after OS X reinstall?
Answered
I'm highly interested in your software. But I have a question. How do I tell itunes after an OS X reinstall, where the spanned tracks are? Is this possible? What do I have to backup before the reinstallation? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for getting in touch.
Since, TuneSpan updates location in the iTunes Library itself, it's not hard to migrate to an OS X reinstall.
If you are backing up your iTunes Library files and then copying into the new OS X install, that will still retain your spanned files locations. If all the relative paths are the same, there should be no issue.
If you want to have TuneSpan remember what has previously been spanned, etc, you should also backup and re-copy the TuneSpan Library and Preferences file which are stored in in your user Library folder.
Let me know if you need more info, but if you normally backup everything, wipe the drive, and clean install OS X, this should all be pretty familiar to you.
