Hi,

by accident I deleted a few tracks of spanned tv-shows. These tracks are spanned on my NAS. TuneSpan asked me, what to do and I seleceted "leave these tracks alone".

Now, they do no longer appear in my iTunes-Mediatek, but I can find them in my file directory of my NAS. How can I tell iTunes, to move these files back into the Mediathek?

Thanks for getting in touch.

You can add the video files on the NAS to the iTunes Library without having them copied back to the iTunes Media folder.

To do this, you can go to the Advanced iTunes Preferences and uncheck "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library". Then, you can drag the stuff in from the NAS and iTunes will reference them from their current location.

When you've added those files, you can go back into the Advanced iTunes Preferences and recheck that setting for normal use.

Same "accident" happened again. I know some files, for which I checked "leave these tracks alone", but I do not remember all. How can I identify for what tracks I did it? And: I do not really understand your comment "drag the stuff in from the NAS"

By "drag the stuff in from the NAS" I mean you can drag the files/folder from Finder into the iTunes window to import them into iTunes. If you have the "Copy files…" setting turned off, then the files won't get copied back to the iTunes Media folder.

And you should be able to have TuneSpan prompt you again if you go into the TuneSpan Preferences and click the button the Clear the List of Tracks to Leave Alone. After that is cleared, TuneSpan should prompt you about cleaning up the files again on the next reload. Then you can make a note of all the files that need to be reimported.
