Does TunesSpan also transfer meta data on podcasts?
Answered
I would like to move sizable Podcast folders but do not want to lose my metadata (e.g. "listened to", "time left", etc.).

TuneSpan preserves ALL metadata.
So, using TuneSpan, you will not lose any of that information.
For a bit more technical explanation...
TuneSpan simply copies files, and then uses the AppleScript command "set location" to tell iTunes to update the location for the track to the copied file. This way, the "track" is never removed from iTunes or anything, the track still has all the metadata it had before and still has the same ID in iTunes and everything. TuneSpan just changes the location attribute without touching anything else.
Thanks for getting in touch, please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions.
