This should already happen automatically. After you type or paste a URL and then hit space or return it should turn blue and underlined and be clickable to open in the default browser.

Yes I was dragging from Safari and did not hit return as soon as I did it lit up blue and was clickable. Thanks user error. Sorry and thanks for the useful software.
