Can ?t relocate files (airport time capsule)
Known
After yosemite update files are listed as missing but they are clearly on ATC under DATA....well this happened some time ago and was caused by a automatic renaming into DATA 1...
File > tools for itunes > relocate ... worked fine last time but now it won't relocate the files...I tried setting the DATA as new span location but it won't work...
Please help!!!
You should be able to set the Span Location to the correct Span Location on the ATC and then select all the tracks that you know are on there, and span normally.
TuneSpan should find the files and quickly update all the locations in iTunes.
If that doesn't work, please send me some screenshots of where the issues are.

Don't worry about the Relocate feature, that clearly won't work in this case.
Try the re-span as I mentioned by selecting all of the missing tracks to span and spanning them to where you know the files exist.
But, would you also mind expanding the Data drive in the Media Locations list until some icons are "?" so that we can see what can't be found and where it is and sending a screenshot of the window again.
Also, a screenshot of the Span tab of the Get Info window for one of these missing tracks could be helpful as well to see where the issue happened. Make sure to stretch the Get Info window wide to see the full paths.

If I do that he tells me this...
If I select OK nothing happens...If I select span anyway, he tries it with some files (about 25) and then it fails as well...

Okay, no idea how, but tunespan recognized the renamed destination and everything works fine now....Thanks!

Cool, TuneSpan should have figured out the rename automatically before. Not sure exactly what happened here to cause the confusion.
But, I'm glad it's all sorted itself out :-)

the problem is still occurring although its resolving itself after a while...it ́s a problem of my Time capsule rather than tunespan...do you know how to stop the automatic renaming of my time capsules disk....its already up to DATA-6....really annoying

I'm sorry to say that I'm not sure how to stop OS X from automatically renaming a Time Capsule.
But, I believe that drives tend to get renamed like this when they are not unmounted properly. At least, that's generally when I see the problem occur.
So, it might help to make sure you disconnect from the Time Capsule?
But I'm really not quite sure about this since I don't use a Time Capsule myself.
