I'm running a laptop with an external 1tb drive on USB 2.0 with about a 988gb iTunes library that is all movies and tv shows and I sync my Apple devices to this library so it has all of my apps.

Then I have a iTunes library that is all music. It is fairly meticulously organized and rated and what not. I just want to ensure that I go about this process correctly and can preserve everything.

I want to be able to open one library and have everything. It would be nice if it were the library on the laptop and not the external. But, I understand I can't span apps.

Am in a SOL scenario here or how should I approach this.

Well, TuneSpan can help you move things around once you have one library set up. But, TuneSpan cannot help you merge libraries.

I would recommend taking a look at PowerTunes (http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/powertu...). I have not used it extensively myself, but I know it has features to merge multiple libraries and things like that.

If you have any questions about PowerTunes, I would suggest digging into their documentation of contacting the developers.

But, I believe PowerTunes will be limited in some similar ways to TuneSpan, it will not be able to do anything with Mobile Apps. I think it may be a difficult process to get these libraries merged the way it sounds like you would want, but I'm not 100% sure, I don't have a lot of experience merging libraries. I'm sorry I can't help you more.
