Update TuneSpan?

How do I check for updates of the TuneSpan software? My app won't load and checking for a software update is usually my first step, but there seems to be no ability to check for updates -- and since I've already paid for it, re-downloading it doesn't seem to be an available option either.

As with all Mac App Store apps, you can check for updates or redownload the app from within the Mac App Store. Apple doesn't allow us to use our own update mechanisms. The latest version of TuneSpan is 1.2.3.

But, how exactly is TuneSpan not loading? Is it stalling at some point in the loading process, or is the app not launching at all, or what?

Hi Pico, thanks for your prompt reply -- TuneSpan is failing to fully load, and freezes ("application not responding"), requiring a forced quit. It shows up in my dock, but no further (window does't load). Sometimes I receive the error message about "Cocoa 13", but after 2 desktop reboots, not even that is showing up any more.

The problem started after I tried to span a very large number of files from one external hard drive to a second external hard-drive (files that had already been spanned from the desktop internal drive to the initial external) -- TuneSpan said the files had been spanned, but then was unable to verify them -- and then all hell broke loose. At the same time I had maxed out my desktop drive, so I had to move/delete some of those files before I could do anything again (including the most recent iTunes upgrade).

If you look in the Console app when loading TuneSpan, do you see any relevant messages that may indicate the error?

Is you internal boot drive still very full? If you have very little hard drive space available that could cause an issue like this. When you computer runs out of drive space to use as virtual memory things can get very messy.

How much free space do you have?
