I have moved my library to a new mac, and installed tunespan as fresh installation, all the media in itunes are working perfectly, the issue is that tunespan, is no longer aware of the spanned media. is there a way to fix this issue?

So it's just that TuneSpan doesn't show what's been spanned? But both TuneSpan and iTunes know the proper locations of all the tracks?

If that's the case, the solution is simple.

First off, go the ALL media type with the buttons in the middle below the toolbar.

Then, select your external drive where all your spanned media is in the Media Locations list.

Now, the track list is showing all of the tracks that should be marked as spanned.

So, highlight all of the tracks in the tracks list, and right click the selection. In the contextual menu, you'll see a "Force Span / Restore" submenu, go into it and select "Force Span..."

Then you'll get an alert explaining what's gonna happen. Basically TuneSpan will just mark the selected tracks as spanned in it's internal database (and set the original locations to within the current iTunes Media folder so they can be easily restored). No files will be moved or anything, that just modifies the TuneSpan database.

Hope that's what you're looking for. Please let me know if you run into any issue or have any questions.

I am in the same situation. If I do this will I then be able to restore my files back to original location (on internal HDD which now has enough space for all my files)?
