I want to have all of my Music Concert movies AND documentaries into its own directory on the same drive as my other itunes files. So in a way same as we have Movies, TV Shows, Music, etc - I want to have a Documentary die and a Concert directory and then can manual span files on that type there . Reason is I use flex and it needs a main directory to pick those files from. seem like I can add other drives, but the concept of another area on same drive fro this purpose not supported. Any ideas ???

thanks, gus

Thanks for getting in touch. So, it sound like you're wanting custom "Media Kind" folders, which isn't exactly possible to do automatically because there isn't any standardized metadata in iTunes to determine whether or not something is a "Documentary" or a "Concert". This is something that would have to change on the iTunes side of things.

But, you should be able to achieve this custom organization manually with TuneSpan.

You can create "Documentary" and "Concert" folders at your desired location and then set each folder as a Span Location in TuneSpan and span the desired tracks to that folder.

Now, when you do this, TuneSpan will create the normal sub-folders for the tracks actual media kind in the Span Location, so you may want to customize the folder organization (in the Advanced TuneSpan Preferences) for these spans.

Does that make sense? I know it's not an ideal solution, and it's not nearly as simple as how TuneSpan organizes the default Media Kinds, but it is possible with a little bit of extra work.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have anymore questions or if you run into any issues.
