Total Size not correct

Solved

Spanning preview total size seems not correct. Not a big Deal.

May be it's caused by one big file (Movie about 3.79 GB).

The size is calculated differently than it is in iTunes, it should be the same as sizes shown by Finder in 10.6 though.

Check out the "Why are sizes in TuneSpan different from iTunes?" section in TuneSpan Help: http://tunespan.com/help.html

I don't think this is the case. In the upper Window in Tunespan the sizes seems correct, but in the drop target the sizes are not correct anymore.

in my case i dropped 6 files for spanning, one with 3.79 GB and 5 from 800MB up to 1.2 GB. The sum was about 3.2 GB. That cannot come from Byte and byte.

I looked in the Finder and the first file is truly 3.79GB.

As i said, not a big deal, just wanted to report it.

I would like to look into this further, does it happen every time with same tracks?

Would you be willing to send me your "iTunes Music Library.xml" (in ~/Music/iTunes) file to "pico (at) randomapplications.com" and tell me which specific tracks you are seeing the issue with so I could try reproducing it to track down the issue?

To reply for all, this issue only effects 32-bit systems.

TuneSpan should be a 64-bit and 32-bit compatible, but it appears I made a mistake when coding for full 64-bit support.

I have finally gotten back into working on TuneSpan. I have found the source of this issue and corrected it. It will be fixed in the next (0.9.5) release of TuneSpan.

This issue was resolved in TuneSpan 0.9.5 beta, and now TuneSpan 0.9.6 beta has also been released. Marking it as solved.
